I’m very pleased to announce that the wonderful new album from Memphis’ Queen of Sacred Soul, Elizabeth King, comes out this Friday, April 12 on Bible and Tire Records. I had the honor of contributing a new original song for the project, “Tables in the Temple”, and I played guitar on the track. The album was produced by Bruce Watson and Will Sexton, and you can preorder it on vinyl, CD, or digital at elizabethkinggospel.bandcamp.com.
I will also be playing with my trio, Danny Banks and Matthew Wilson, that same night, April 12, at the Atrium at Overton Square here in Memphis, a part of their free spring concert series. Bring the family for an evening of original music outside in the Square. 7 PM.
I’m also excited to announce that I will be playing guitar for not one, not two, but three of my favorite singers and artists this spring and summer!
First, with Memphis’ Alexis Grace, who will be performing April 28 at TIMPO Fest at Temple Israel in Germantown, TN. Alexis and I are currently working on her debut album, which I’m producing and playing guitar on.
Secondly, I’ll be backing up Nicole Atkins May 17 and 18, when she opens for The Mavericks in Austin, TX for Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater, as they celebrate the release of their new album. Get tickets here.
Thirdly, I’ll be joining John Nemeth and The Blue Dreamers on guitar for some of John’s spring and summer tour dates:
